Sierra Club Virginia Chapter interns work directly with experienced advocates and organizers to develop and implement campaigns to protect the environment. Interns assist staff in coordinating workshops and presentations, building for rallies, recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, and generating public support for key issues. The Sierra editorial fellowship offers early career journalists real experience in the day-to-day world of magazine publishing. Fellows get an overview of the process of selecting and preparing manuscripts for publication and gain valuable insight into the workings of a nationally circulated magazine.
